Metallica Shares Judas Priest Cover Featuring Lars Ulrich On Vocals
In a new behind-the-scenes video, Metallica rocks out a cover of Judas Priest while warming up backstage at a concert in Pittsburgh. Drummer Lars Ulrich can be seen showing off his vocal chops, taking over on vocals for James Hetfield for the cover of “Delivering The Goods.”
In the clip, Ulrich gets the band hyped for their show by asking each member to share an inspirational message. Bassist Robert Trujillo says, “Social D is in the house,” Hetfield offers, “I feel like s**t,” and Kirk Hammett yells, “Hell bent for leather!” That inspires Lars to kick off the “Delivering The Goods” cover to “lighten the mood up.” Check out the video to the right.
