The President of Southeast Missouri State University Apologized for Video Showing Him Drinking From Beer Bong at Football Tailgate
The video of Vargas taking a knee and downing the beer was posted by Barstool SEMO on Twitter with the caption, “THATS MY PRESIDENT.” It has been viewed over 136,000 times and received praise from students in the video as well as online.
The Board of Regents wrote in a joint statement with Vargas that while Saturday’s actions represent a “lapse in judgement,” Vargas has the board’s full support and backing going forward.
