We had a benefit almost exactly 2 years ago for a local fallen officer’s family and were able to raise $40,000. We are doing the same thing this Saturday at Grazia Parking lot 6am -1030am for the Santa Fe shooting victims. (9415 Broadway. Pearland TX)
It is a drive through the parking lot event. Min price per taco is $5.00 all goes to the cause. Last time people paid all sorts of different anoints for a taco, $5 $20 $50 etc. We felt so lucky in the end to get know the fallen officers wife and son. We still see them today. I want to stress that while we are the hub of this event.. most of the volunteering is the Pearland community! They are amazing and this could not be done with out them. Their police force, firemen, lions club, government leaders, and community as a whole are one of a kind.
