Will you need help during an emergency?

Anyone who would require special assistance during an emergency or natural disaster should register with the State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry (STEAR) program before hurricane season.

Signing up is free for people with disabilities, those who have limited mobility or communication difficulties, or anyone who requires special medical assistance, personal care or transportation in an evacuation zone during an emergency event.

NewsRadio 740 KTRH and Houston's other iHeartMedia stations provide a way for schools, businesses and other organizations to communicate with students, staff and the community in the event of an emergency.

Should an emergency occur, registered representatives are able to contact us with critical information that can be quickly provided to the community in an efficient and timely manner. All Houston iHeartMedia stations will display the same information, so registered representatives can reach millions of listeners with one notification in the event of an emergency.

The information is updated around the clock with schedule changes, cancellations, closings, delays, and new information for students, employees, customers and others. Our stations will also use this system to take information directly to air.
Organizations can register by sending a request HERE.
