These days, Metallica get as many headlines for their charity work as they do for their music. Their latest project? Donating a million dollars to community colleges across the country.
This week, the band donated $100,000 to Lone Star College in Texas, money that will help students find new careers by paying for day care, uniforms, and drug testing.
Drummer Lars Ulrich said Metallica wants to "share our success with others" by helping them find work they can be passionate about.
