Reddit recently hosted an AMA (Ask Me Anything) with Lori Goldston, who you might remember was a touring member of Nirvana during the band's final days (you can see her in their MTV Unplugged set, below). The cello player revealed a few things from then.
Speaking about band's direction moving forward, Goldston claims that Kurt Cobain was looking to add an oboe to the lineup.
Goldston feels that the difference between playing classical and rock music is similar to the difference between acoustic and amplified music and that classically trained musicians aren't great at improvisation.
When asked for her favorite memory of the late frontman, Goldston said, "He was very nice company, funny and smart."
