Teacher To Students: "Turn The N*gger Tunes Off"

Photo from Hoover High School website

A white Alabama teacher (and yes, y'all, it's important to note that she's white) told her students to "turn the n*gger tunes off", referring to the Tupac song the kids were listening to. And actually, she said it repeatedly because the first time, the kids didn't hear her. Yikes.

Teddie Butcher lets her high school students listen to music during her food and nutrition class at Alabama's Hoover High, but she wasn't feeling Tupac's "Dear Mama". She's copped to the accusation, saying she didn't like the song's profanity.

Except that there is no profanity in "Dear Mama", because Tupac had more respect for his mother than that. Seriously, check out the song's hook:

Lady, don't you know we love ya? (Dear Mama)
Sweet lady, place no one above ya (You are appreciated)
Sweet lady, don't you know we love ya?

School officials instructed students who had the incident on video to erase all evidence, which doesn't look shady at all.   Ms. Butcher has apologized to the class, which seemed to have students of multiple races, and is now on paid administrative leave.
