The guy who did this -- Nick Meyer from Parma, Ohio -- isn't even a Star Wars fanatic. He likes the movies just fine, but probably not as much as you would expect from someone who put in this much time and money. It took about 6 months to build the AT-AT from wood, hard foam, and plastic barrels.
I wonder what he's planning to do with it after Halloween?
