At a recent solo show in Dublin, Ireland, Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder forked over $28,000 of his own money.
In order to give the fans their money's worth, and to keep from cutting down his expansive 30-plus-song setlist to make curfew, Vedder opted to pay a fine. And that money wasn't coming out of his crew members' checks.
NME reports that at one point during the show Vedder stepped off stage to sign a check for €25,000 o he would be permitted to continue.
Money straight out of his own pocket... so that fans would't be let down or short changed. #Class.
