Mark Hoppus Gets Tat To Mark Beating Cancer

Mark Hoppus is celebrating beating cancer with a new tat! The new ink is a cartoon that looks pretty Disney like -- big eyes and all. What's the cartoon? A grim reaper, yes, with his scythe. It takes up Mark's entire forearm.

Mark shared the pic on Instagram, taking the tattoo artist Dabs Myla and Dan Smith for their work. Myla, who designed the tat, also shared the end product, writing, "Honored to have drawn this character for our friend @markhoppus tattoo. Not this time DEATHY! ❤️""

Metallica Announce Latest Whiskey

Metallica has a new whiskey out! Their liquor brand, "Blackened American Whiskey" has shared a new limited edition "Rye the Lightening" whiskey. It's Kentucky straight rye double cask-finished.

Blackened rye whiskey goes through the same casking process.. where the barrels they're in are blasted with low frequencies of Metallica songs! The brand claims that the sound waves visibly shake the barrels, which helps extract more flavor from the wood as it's vibrating.

As the name alludes to, this new "Rye the Lightening" whiskey used only songs from "Ride the Lightning." Specifically it was the live versions from their "Orion Music + More Festival" performance in 2012.

"The vibe from the crowd at the first Orion … was electrifying. And it's really cool that we get to capture that energy in this release," Robert Trujillo explains. "We've used a few live songs in our playlists before, but never a full live playlist. So to be able to incorporate our fans in the Blackened journey and have them be a part of the whiskey-making process is really unique, and makes this a true collaboration."
