Grammy Awards Tribute to Taylor Hawkins (2022)

The “In Memoriam” tribute started with Trevor Noah acknowledging the loss of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, noting that it was at that point in the evening the band was supposed to be playing. He then sent out condolences to the band and Taylor’s family, and they played a video tribute to Taylor, which was backed by the band’s hit “My Hero.”

Foo Fighters Win Three GRAMMYS

Foo Fighters may not have been there in person, but their presence was felt at the GRAMMYs. While the band didn't attend the pre-show telecast - nor did they perform (they were scheduled to be at the awards show, but pulled out in light of Taylor Hawkins' death) - they took home three Grammys last night - winning in all of their nominated categories.

The wins were for Best Rock Performance ("Making a Fire"), Best Rock Song ("Waiting On a War") and best rock album ("Medicine at Midnight").

Taylor's passing was also recognized during the show, ahead off the "In Memoriam" segment. Host Trevor Noah sent out condolences to the band and Taylor’s family, and they played a video tribute to Taylor, which was backed by the band’s hit “My Hero.” In addition, Billie Eilish wore a Taylor T-shirt during her performance. Check out a complete recap of last night's GRAMMYS.

Eric Church Is Doing a Makeup Concert in San Antonio

This HAD to happen. ERIC CHURCH is doing a free show to make up for canceling his concert on Saturday to attend the Final Four. (North Carolina beat Duke and will play for the championship tonight against Kansas.)

Here's Eric's announcement: "Thank you San Antonio for letting me take my family to this game. It took a minute to figure out how and when I could properly express my thanks.

"I'll be coming to Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels, Texas on September 2nd, 2022 for a one-of-a-kind FREE show for those of you who bought tickets and were planning to attend our canceled show. Details will be announced soon."

Free show or not, people are still dragging Eric for his self-described "selfish move." You might enjoy this little scolding from Travis Tritt.

"Over the years I've missed weddings, funerals, family reunions, and a bunch of events I would have loved to have attended because I was booked for shows. I don't think I could ever get by with canceling because I wanted to watch sports."
