Women Of The Batman Movies: Lookin At Girlzz Spotlight

The Batman hits theaters this weekend. As you might expect, we're using this as an excuse to take a great big Lookin At Girlzz Spotlight look at some of the lovely ladies who've shared the screen with the Dark Knight over the years.

Kim Basinger

Former fashion model Kim Basinger kicked off the modern era of Batman leading ladies as Vicki Vale opposite Michael Keaton in 1989's Batman. You also know her from 9½ Weeks, L.A. Confidential, and 8 Mile.

Michelle Pfeiffer

Catwoman in Batman Returns (1992) was one of the most sought-after movie roles of all time. First choice Annette Bening had to drop out due to a pregnancy and Michelle Pfeiffer stepped in to play sexy cat burglar Selina Kyle. You know her from What Lies Beneath, Scarface, and Dangerous Minds.

Nicole Kidman

1995's Batman Forever introduced Val Kilmer as the new Batman and Kidman as Dr. Chase Meridian, a criminal psychologist working as a consultant for the Gotham City Police Department. You know her from Eyes Wide Shut, The Others, and Moulin Rouge!.

Alicia Silverstone

With George Clooney taking over as Batman, 1997's Batman & Robin brought back Chris O'Donnell as the caped crusader's sidekick and added former teen idol Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl. Silverstone is best known for Clueless, The Crush, and Blast from the Past.

Uma Thurman

Batman & Robin (1997) pitted the dynamic duo against Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze and plant-controlling villainess Poison Ivy. Uma Thurman played Poison Ivy. She is best known for Pulp Fiction, the Kill Bill movies, and Beautiful Girls.

Katie Holmes

Director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale launched a reboot of the Batman movies with Batman Begins in 2005. This new origin for Batman included Katie Holmes as childhood friend and adult love interest Rachel Dawes. You know Katie Holmes from Dawson's Creek, Jack and Jill, and Ray Donovan.

Maggie Gyllenhaal

Katie Holmes decided not to return in 2008 for The Dark Knight, so Maggie Gyllenhaal took over the role of Assistant D.A. Rachel Dawes. You also know her from Secretary, Crazy Heart, and The Deuce.

Anne Hathaway

For 2012's The Dark Knight Rises, Nolan cast Anne Hathaway as a new version of Selina Kyle/Catwoman, an uneasy ally and eventual love interest for Batman. Hathaway is best known for The Devil Wears Prada, Interstellar, and Alice in Wonderland.

Marion Cotillard

The Dark Knight Rises also features Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate, new Wayne Enterprises CEO and love interest for Bruce Wayne. You know her from Inception, Contagion, and Allied.

Zoë Kravitz

Director Matt Reeves is restarting the saga with a new take in this weekend's The Batman, which brings us Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman opposite Robert Pattinson as Batman. You know her from Mad Max: Fury Road, X-Men: First Class, and HBO's Big Little Lies. Also, her parents are Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz.
