Food: Check Out The Super Bowl Food DEALS!

Super Bowl Food DEALS!

Super Bowl 56 is happening on Sunday and if you’re on the west coast, the Fatburger chain is giving away 56 burgers every hour of the big game (Get it? SB 56…56 burgers) between 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm PT.

Of course, it’s not as easy as just asking. You need to be watching Fatburger's Instagram account during the game as they’ll release one code per hour. And then? If you’re one of the first 56 first customers to redeem the code with your online order, BOOM – you get a free original Fatburger.

Burgers aren’t your thing? There are some other Super Bowl food giveaways to consider.

  • DiGiorno is giving fans a free pizza if at any time the score mirrors the first three digits of Pi (that’s 3-14 or 14-3, if you’re not a math whiz). If you want in, enter online here from now until game day. Winners will get a coupon for a complimentary pizza.
  • Over at Buffalo Wild Wings, they’re giving away a free order of six wings to everyone in North America if the Super Bowl goes into overtime after regulation play. Should the game go into OT, visit any Wild Wings restaurant on February 28th between 4pm and 7pm local time.

Could Tequila Take Over Vodka As America’s Favorite?

Vodka may be at the top of the heap as America’s favorite, but agave-based spirits like tequila and mezcal are rising fast. According to the Distilled Spirits Council, vodka has been on top since the 1970s (produced $7.3-billion in revenue in 2021) with tequila and mezcal not far behind (by about $2-billion).

What gives? Celebrities have been on the tequila and mezcal train for some time with George Clooney’s Casamigos tequila (which he sold for $1 billion to Diageo in 2017), Dwayne Johnson’s Teremina tequila, Kendall Jenner’s 818 and Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston’s Dos Hombres Mezcal.

And while tequila and mezcal sales are cranking – especially at casinos – pre-mixed drinks are also seeing big jumps in sales. But the biggest player is still tequila and mezcal. “A lot of people think when they go to an arena or stadium, ‘I’m just going to drink beer’,” says celebrity mixologist and author Tony Abou-Ganim. “Our feeling was, if we put a better margarita in their hands, they’re going to buy margaritas. And that’s proven to be the case.”
