Teen's Body Found Wrapped In Plastic In New York City Fish Market Warehouse

Authorities in New York City are investigating the death of a 19-year-old homeless woman. The woman's body was discovered wrapped in plastic by her boyfriend on the second floor of a vacant warehouse that used to house the Fulton Street Fish Market.

Investigators are waiting for the results of the autopsy to determine how the woman died. There were no signs of trauma on her body, and she reportedly died several days before her body was found.

"Right now, we simply don't know what happened. We are waiting for the M.E. [medical examiner] to tell us," an NYPD spokesman told the New York Post.

Officials said the boyfriend was not a suspect in the woman's death, and no arrests have been made. According to the Post, he told police that she was "led" to the warehouse several weeks ago, though investigators have not verified his claim.

The warehouse has been a magnet for homeless people since the fish market closed down and moved to the Bronx in 2005.
