Josh Gad is a huge fan of The Goonies and he's worked with Reunited Apart to get the whole cast back together for a virtual reunion in support of The Center For Disaster Philanthropy's COVID-19 fund. It's happening today at 11 AM CST (9 AM PT/12 PM EST).
Several of the stars of the 1985 film have done convention appearances together over the years, but this is going to be the whole gang...Sean Astin (Mikey), Corey Feldman (Mouth), Ke Huy Kwan (Data), Jeff Cohen (Chunk), Josh Brolin (Brand), Kerri Green (Andy), and Martha Plimpton (Stef). Those are the cast members announced as participating. Gad is teasing "many special SURPRISES", so who knows what that means.
The official description for the event says:
Josh Gad goes on a modern day treasure hunt to reunite the cast of the iconic 1985 movie The Goonies! Join them, and some very special guests, as they go down memory lane and bring their characters back to life, all in the name of charity, on Episode One of “Reunited Apart.”
