Serial Wedding Crasher Has Been Stealing Gifts From Newlyweds Around Texas

Comal County, TX -- If you got married in Texas and thought your guests were cheap, you might want to look for this lady in your wedding album.

Authorities in Texas are searching for a woman described as a serial “wedding crasher” who has been going to wedding parties around the state, posing as a guest and stealing gifts.

The woman was recently spotted taking gifts from newlyweds in Comal County, which is near San Antonio, but police said she has crashed parties in surrounding counties as well.

“The suspect arrives uninvited to weddings, poses as a guest and then steals the gifts,” Comal County Crime Stoppers said Monday ina news release. “Let’s not let her ruin anyone else’s special day and bring this crasher to justice.”

A series of surveillance images released Monday shows the smirking suspect shopping at several local stores. Officer Jennifer Smith of the Comal County Sheriff’s Office told the Daily News that investigators tracked down the woman through some of the gift cards she stole.

Authorities are offering up to $4,000 in cash rewards to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest in the case.
