Marvel star Jeremy Renner recently sat down with Diane Sawyer for an ABC News interview, his first since the horrific snowplow accident that nearly ended his life on New Year's Day. The segment included a disturbing animated simulation of Renner being crushed by a 14,000-pound Snowcat, leaving him with more than 30 broken bones and a collapsed lung.
The New York Post has a series of still images from the animation, breaking down the steps that led to the accident and then the awful details of how Renner ended up under the vehicle. Among other haunting images, the actor says he could see with one eye that the other had popped out as he was crushed under the treads.
He is now upright with the help of a walker and opens up to Sawyer about the long road to recovery.
