A recent study found that certain cities have a lot more cheaters than others. MyDatingAdviser.com used data from the U.S. Census Bureau to create an "Infidelity Index" for 200 major American cities. Factors they weighed included marriage, divorce, and separation rates, the emotional and physical well-being of the cities' populations, plus the number of venues to meet for an affair, and the volume of searches on Google for affair hookup websites.
These were the top 10 most unfaithful cities in America:

- Houston, Texas
- St. Louis, Missouri
- Nashville, Tennessee
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- New York, New York
- Knoxville, Tennessee
- Atlanta, Georgia
- Washington, D.C.
