There's been a lot of talk the last couple of months about who should play the subject of the hit Netflix true crime docuseries Tiger King in the eventual scripted movie or TV version. According to Variety, Nicolas Cage is the guy. Or the first guy at least. Who knows how many other Joe Exotic TV shows and movies we'll end up with.
Cage is set for the first TV role of his career in an 8-episode series based on the Texas Monthly article “Joe Exotic: A Dark Journey Into the World of a Man Gone Wild,” by Leif Reigstad.
No official word on where the series will air, but it's being produced by Imagine TV and CBS Television Studios, so CBS or the CBS All Access streaming service seem like reasonable bets.
