Miami, FL resident Patrick Snay is out $80,000 after his daughter made an unfortunate post on her Facebook.
While in the middle of settling an age-discrimination lawsuit, Snay signed a standard confidentiality clause that wouldn't allow for him to talk about the case.
He was just about to close the deal to win the money when he told his daughter about it. Only, she bragged to her 1,200 Facebook friends and the post made it back to the lawyers.
Since this was in direct violation of the agreement, the case was dropped and Snay lost the settlement.
