As a newborn, Katheryn Deprill was left in a Burger King by her, then, 17-year-old mother. After years of searching, Deprill, now 27, was able to track her down via Facebook.

Her search began on March 2 with an initial post on the social media site with just a simple photo of herself holding a sign that read,  "Looking for my birth mother. ... She abandoned me in the Burger King bathroom only hours old, Allentown PA. Please help me find her by sharing my post."

Shared more than 30,000 times by Facebook users around the world, it eventually found its way to the woman who abandoned her, and she came forward to attorney John Waldron, who arranged for them to meet.
