Coldplay's fans are still mostly in the dark when it comes to the band's new song "Midnight."
With little warning or explanation, Chris Martin and company tweeted a link to the track's video Tuesday at midnight Mongolia time. The clip matches the song's dark and chilly tone with black-and-white photo-negative images of the band members wandering through a forest.
The guys have yet to announce whether "Midnight" will be part of a new album, which would be their first since 2011's Mylo Xyloto. Coldplay contributed the Golden Globe-nominated song "Atlas" to the Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack last fall, but so far there's been no hint of a proper sixth studio album until now.
Coldplay will have an opportunity to share a few more details about their 2014 plans when they head to Austin, Texas next month for the iTunes Festival at South by Southwest. They're set to open the five-day event on March 11th.

What I Do, Job-wise: So. Much. Other than playing on-air every day (and on DO YOU HATE IT? Sunday nights), you might get an e-mail response from me if you write in asking to know the name of a song or whether we're looking for interns. I'm all over the place, like a ninja, but less stealthy.
