Look, I realize that some college students weren't even alive in 1994 (the year of Kurt Cobain's death), but it's a pretty well known fact that a) he is dead and b) the band is defunct. Right?
One Virginia Tech college student was clueless, though, and sent a letter to Sub Pop, Nirvana's former label, asking if they could get a video from Nirvana with the band saying something like this:
What’s up Virginia Tech? This is Nirvana! Just wanted to wish you guys a Happy Homecoming Week and good luck at the game this Saturday. LETS GO HOKIES!
Can you imagine Kurt Cobain every seriously saying GO HOKIES? Like... seriously? Someone at the label was pretty amused and has a mountain more patience than I could ever hope to have, because they've said they "dressed up and obliged" and the video will be coming soon. (Gawker, Photos: Sub Pop)
What I Do, Job-wise: So. Much. Other than playing on-air every day (and on DO YOU HATE IT? Sunday nights), you might get an e-mail response from me if you write in asking to know the name of a song or whether we're looking for interns. I'm all over the place, like a ninja, but less stealthy.
