Davion Navar Henry Only is a 15-year-old orphan from Florida. He's been in foster care since he was born to a woman who was incarcerated for petty theft and cocaine. His birth mom died in June, and now his time is running out. When he turns 18, he'll age out of the system and be on his own, with no family and no one to help him find his way.
Davion decided to do a really, really brave thing. He went to a local church and spoke to the congregation, asking that someone -- anyone -- adopt him.
''I'll take anyone," Davion said. "Old or young, dad or mom, black, white, purple. I don't care. And I would be really appreciative. The best I could be."
So far, Davion is still waiting. (NaplesNews.com)
What I Do, Job-wise: So. Much. Other than playing on-air every day (and on DO YOU HATE IT? Sunday nights), you might get an e-mail response from me if you write in asking to know the name of a song or whether we're looking for interns. I'm all over the place, like a ninja, but less stealthy.
