Taco Bell Brings Back Nacho Fries with Secret AARDVARK Collab
Nacho Fries are returning to Taco Bell again and this time they arrive with a new condiment – a specially developed Serrabanero Ranch sauce made in collaboration with Portland-based Secret Aardvark hot sauce brand. The new sauce is a blend of classic ranch sauce, green tomatoes, roasted tomatillos serrano, and green habanero peppers.
The $4.99 Secret Aardvark Nacho Fries feature slow-roasted chicken, a three-cheese blend, reduced fat sour cream, pico de gallo, and nacho cheese sauce. In a press release, Taco Bell said the new fries will show up on April 25 at restaurants nationwide and will be available throughout the summer. In the past, Taco Bell also collaborated with Truff to offer spicy truffle Nacho Fries in the fall of 2022 and Yellowbird hot sauce in spring 2023 with Nacho Fries with a Spicy Habanero Ranch Sauce.
Nacho Fries were first introduced to Taco Bell menus in 2018 as a limited-time offering and since have disappeared and reappeared 10 times on menus. This has made them a cult favorite and a marketing play for the company due to the elusiveness of the dish. Alexander Chernev, professor of marketing at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University said to CNN “When you have these exclusive products, which exist for a short period of time, it gives people a reason to come to the store.” That may be the secret to Taco Bell’s Nacho Fries.
