Tom Morello Supports Unionized Strippers.

Rage Against The Machine star Tom Morello has been raging against big business lately. The guitarist stopped by Paramount Studio to play a set for striking writers and actors in Hollywood earlier this month, and now he’s supporting another unionized group of performers.

Morello rocked out at the Star Garden Topless Dive Bar in North Hollywood, California recently. Star Garden is the country’s only unionized strip club after workers joined the Actors’ Equity Association following a strike due to unsafe working conditions. The strike forced the business to close for a short time.

Oliver Anthony Doesn't Like People "Wrapping Politics" in His Music

When Oliver Anthony said he "sits dead center down the political aisle," he meant it.  Apparently, no one heard it or cared . . . because everyone tried to claim him as their own, so now he's addressing it.  Again.

In a new video he told everyone to stop trying to score political points by identifying with him.  Quote, "[It] bothers me seeing people wrap politics in this.

"It's aggravating seeing people on conservative news try to identify with me like I'm one of them.  It's aggravating seeing certain musicians and politicians act like we're buddies and act like we're fighting the same struggle."

He adds, "[It] was funny seeing my song at the presidential debate because I wrote that song about those people.  [It] was funny seeing the response [because] the song has nothing to do with Joe Biden.  It's about the people on that stage.  Not just them, but definitely them."

People took that to mean he DID pick a side, but they missed the point.  He had to hit up Facebook to clarify.

Here's some of what he wrote, "This will be my last post about politics on social media . . .

"But I need to address my video earlier since it's been misquoted and misinterpreted.

Corporate news, a big surprise, is now trying to twist me into being a Biden supporter.  That song has nothing to do with him.

"It's referencing [Ron] DeSantis' response to my song.  He talks about getting Joe Biden out as if that would automatically solve all the problems.  Biden is a big part of the issue, bit it runs much deeper.

"'Rich Men North of Richmond' is about corporate-owned Washington D.C. politicians on BOTH sides.  Though Biden's most certainly a problem, the lyrics aren't exclusively knocking him, it's bigger and broader than that.

"It's knocking the system collectively.  Including the corporate-owned conservative politicians that were on stage that night."

QOTSA Cancel Brazilian Show, Angers Fans:

Fans are never happy when a band has to cancel - or even postpone - a scheduled show or appearance. But while some fans in Brazil were understanding, many were not so compassionate when Queens Of The Stone Age announced they were pulling out of The Town Festival in Sao Paolo on September 9th. “Following the doctor’s advice” was the only explanation QOTSA offered, along with an apology. “We deserve more than this silly a** excuse,” wrote one fan on Instagram. One even replied, “We all know this is a lie.” Though QOTSA promised to return to the country next year, it seems they have angered several Brazilian supporters.

Florence Welch Had an Emergency Life-Saving Surgery

Florence Welch from Florence + The Machine shared that she had emergency life-saving surgery but isn't strong enough yet to go into the reasons why.

She says, quote, "My feet are fine . . . Suffice to say I wish the songs were less accurate in their predictions.  But creativity is a way of coping, and mythology is a way of making sense . . .

"And the dark fairytale of 'Dance Fever', with all its strange prophecies, will provide me with much-needed strength and catharsis right now."

Florence had to cancel shows last fall when she broke her foot.  It's unclear if the recent surgery is related.

Politically outspoken band Green Day has not wasted any time in poking fun at arrested former president Donald Trump.
