That Applewatch You Bought to Get Healthy?  It's Covered in FILTH!

Did you drop $400 on an Apple Watch thinking you'd get healthy?  Here's some fun news:  A study found almost all Apple Watches and Fitbits are COVERED in germs.

A team at Florida Atlantic University tested people's wristbands, and 95% were contaminated with some sort of harmful bacteria.  85% had at least trace amounts of the bacteria that causes staph infections, and 60% tested positive for E. coli.

The reason it's so common is we touch them a lot . . . they're near our hands anyway, so they're contaminated easily . . . and most of us never wash them.

The type of material it's made of matters.  They found metal wristbands had the least bacteria, and cloth bands had the most.

In general, they say metal is better than leather . . . leather is better than rubber . . . rubber is better than plastic . . . and plastic is better than cloth.  (NY Post)
